Core Structure
Lock-bottom structure
The lock-bottom carton relies on interlocking base tabs. Proper tab angle and length let the base auto-lock once the product is inside, handling vertical pressure while remaining easy to open.
Design Points
Lock-bottom cartons are an efficient solution for retail and e-commerce. Design focus is tab length, angle and engagement depth: too short and the base opens under load; too long and folding becomes difficult. Heavier products can use higher grammage board or rear-lock designs; auto folder-gluer lines need proper gripping and folding angles.
